Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by bob350: Seems to have a yellowish cast. Maybe using a grey card in a test shot would allow correction of white balance in post processing. Might benefit from more careful placement of the various elements of the still life. |

Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by smudgeSMJ: The shadow from your flash/lighting behind the pineapple is distracting. Also, the shadow from the crease in your material is distracting. |

Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by freakin_hilarious: I can see where you were going with this, but you just didn't get there. A still life is a good idea, but random lettuce and such tossed onto a bumpy piece of red felt with harsh lighting isn't very appealing. |

Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by molinski4611: Direct on camera flash. That's the first thing I notice when I see those shadows. If you're going to take the time setting up a nice shot like this, google DIY diffusers for your camera, a 25cent piece of something can do wonders. |

Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by andrewt: Try experimenting with different lighting methods. I would recommend both frontal lighting (as you have done here) and bounced top lighting to reduce the shadows. |

Apples in Paradiseby arisafariComment by LadyK: i like your choice in background, but it takes away from the red apple. the pineapple also takes most of my attention rather then the apple. flash seems harsh as well |
