I imagine that you had to crop the top of the tree to avoid the distracting branch peaking in. Otherwise lovely composition.

A powerful and compelling composition - a sound and dynamic image in the best tradition of photo journalism. A candid image like this should tell a story and this image certainly does that. During the first run through for rating, this viewer thought it had a minor technical flaw, but on comment review, this was a mistaken impression. Rerated to a 10, this image should place high in the competition if not a ribbon winner. An excellant photo.
