I love the idea and the backlighting - if there was any way of separating the dog 'standing watch' from the girl he is protecting, it might have more impact.

This photo really doesn't jump off the page when I browsing the general lay out, so I do not know if you will get a lot of votes because I don't know if a lot of people will relate to the smaller image and take time to look closely, but I hope they do. It was your title that made open a full-view and I am glad I did (so good job there). Maybe not the best photo technically either (from my perspective). However, there are a lot of elements I like: subject matter, the up close view of the die, the positioning of the die and the bag. I gotta rate it up there!
