I like the composition and b&w toning.
The background is very busy though, so I would rather see it out of focus (less dof / wider aperture, smaller F number).
The concrete pole is well hidden by putting it on the same line as a tree. Don't know if that was on purpose, it would have looked worse if it was next to the tree.
I think I'd have given it a 7 or 8.

I feel the total opposite of ronners. I like it and it says alot to me. It like they are looking for their next wave. very nice shot to! I love the deep tones. Way to go! I would have giving you a 9.

Doesn't really work for me Jack, as it's a good shot but doesn't directly show adventure and isn't particularly motivational. Normally I'm open to shots which require some interpretation, but they don't, in my view, work well for this challenge.
