Looking at the score I wonder what people giving this image 3´s and 4´s are looking for in an image... |

we almost tied .. i wonder what they do if two images get the same vote in a challenge .. ?? ..:) |
It happens a lot more often than you think. We now place the ties next to each other. So if you see an "image removed" on the breakdown, that's what's happened. |

The black housesby otto22Comment by tanguera: This has got to be from the Icelandic team, LOL. Strange and beautiful. I'd have liked a tiny bit more brightness on the ground. |

I guess it is because of the blanket, beard and the surrounding environment my first thought was that of a druid of old taking shelter in a cave by the loch. Love this picturesque take on the challenge. Beautiful scenery here at the mouth of the cave! Indeed looks like a scenic place to take shelter for the night. It is chilly by the looks of things so that nice warm spot by the fire is a great place to be. The man seems to be gazing off in the distance either enjoying the view or thinking or both. |

Bird on Lupinusby otto22Comment by Pangurban: Gorgeous colour in the flowers. A slight niggle is that there is so much going on that I think the bird gets a little lost. I wonder if you could have balanced a tighter crop with the need to keep the sense of blue? |

Bird on Lupinusby otto22Comment by CNovack: Voted earlier coming back to comment.
Fantastic capture of this bird in a field of blue flowers! Lighting, color, and detail are pretty spot on. I do have one suggestion on how to further strengthen the composition. The flowers in the forefront that are hazy blurred due to depth of field can be cropped out. That hazy blur in the forefront of the frame tends to distract from the overall scene. Cropping as much as you can out will keep the focus on the bird at rest in the field of Lupinus. |
