You should use the full 640 pixels that the challenge allows for image size. There may also be some excessive compression used that is taking away some detail and clarity. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (150k for this one)

The choice of object was nice, but i think the colors are kind of dead and the boots look a little oof. I don't see much connection between the place and the boots too. From the sunlight back there i see you had a good light at that moment, maybe in a different place and some use of that light would be a good scenery for the shot! Sorry if i was rude in any opinion!
