It looks as if the background is suede, and if so the texture there is great. But whatever that is in the middle seems to be out of focus so I am not feeling the texture there.

+ Various shades of brown can be interesting. There are textures!
- The rose is out of focus. POV isn't quite appealing. Composition could be much better.

This might have been very cool if you could have focused more on the barite than the background (and even closer in). A less centered composition could have helped, too.
