Depressionby kidd0067Comment by mark082: This is low-key, but I think a secondary (even if it's faint) light source might have given a bit more detail to her hair. Also, the focus on her face could have been a bit sharper. 5 |

Depressionby kidd0067Comment by bvy: Reminds me of one of the bus billboards I often see encouraging anyone with a psychological condition (alcoholism, depression, addiction, etc.) to participate in a university study. Anecdote aside, the darkness and soft focus enhance your message. Good job. |

Depressionby kidd0067Comment by dustingooding: Meets Challenge: 1 of 3. To me, this is just an underexposed shot, not a low key shot where highlights and darkness mingle to show your subject.
Technical: 1 of 3. As underexposed shots go, the graininess in the dark areas are way too noticeable. This is probably due to how you went from color to B&W
Emotion: 1 of 3. I'm not trying to pick on your model, but she doesn't look depressed so much as bored out of her mind. I think it's the raised eyebrow. I realize there's a fine line, facially, between depression (don't want to do anything) and boredom (nothing to do), but still.
Awe: 0 of 1. |

Depressionby kidd0067Comment by ASTONishing: Maybe a darker color on the model. Her shirt seems to draw the eye and "pop" a bit more than her face. |
