The hunterby svavaComment by giantmike: Great setup for this shot. You picked out a perfect costume, and the bow style is great. I'm torn on if I would have liked it more in portrait mode than landscape. |

The hunterby svavaComment by LonnieD: I feel that the hair caught under her right arm should have been loose in the wind.
Also, she appears uncomfortable - hunched.
Good idea. |

The hunterby svavaComment by Droeger: Nice idea, with a few adjustments it could be great! First off it's east to see that the model has never shot a bow in her life. Secondly that arrow is way too short,so she cant pull the bow back correctly (and it's made of bamboo, that's a bit off) |

The hunterby svavaComment by CNovack: Lighting, focus and color are all well above average. Believe me you invoked the idea of Artemis the Huntress quite well (although the archer in me is flinching because she is not holding the bow correctly when it comes to aiming). However, I have this crazy notion that I am supposed to being seeing a mythical creature rather than a Goddess ....although one can argue she is a lovely creature of beauty and homosapiens can be regarded as creatures. I think the shot is very well done in lighting, composition, color, and focus but fails to meet the true 'spirit' of the challenge. I am not saying it is an out and out DMNC but I wish there was more of a strong connection to 'creature' ....had you made her a centaur that would have met the 'creature' aspect to the challenge. If ever a God/Goddess challenge comes up and you do a re-shoot of this I would rate it quite highly in the 8 to 10 range in fact (just please have the full bow in view and the model aim correctly...although now that I think of it she might not have had the arm strength to pull it all the way back to the correct position). I have to be honest but I just cannot give it full marks due to challenge description but I still rate it slightly above average. |

The hunterby svavaComment by MilesW: Great model and is that a creative use of bamboo cane doubling up as the arrow shaft? The only slight distraction is the flash shadows cast from the right arm onto the left arm and torso - they are a little harsh. |

Love ice-cream !by svavaComment by digital_knight: this one wins the whole thing in my book - it tells us a story - it has real emotion - it's a great photo on lots of levels. You get the Digital Knight Blue (no gif associated with that title sadly).
:-)
Great work. |
