Though I havent seen the movie yet, I have read the book "The Road" by Cornac McCarthy. This photo is how I would have pictured the road in that story. Looks like a nuclear winter, after ash has fallen onto the ground, and the sky is still on fire. Awesome photo.

There's something about this photo that bothers me... I live in this climate and so I am used to the brilliant bright red colours of fall, and to me, this photograph doesn't look authentic. It looks a little artificial and dream-like or more like a picture from a fairy-tale. If that was the look you were going for, you pulled it off. If you were going for realistic, you missed the mark.
