The softening and blending of the colours give it an abstract oil painting feel.
Don`t know if it would have been improved by a bit more cropping at the bottom ?

While choice of subject is poignantly apt and beautiful and the photo quite decent, IMO, I'd wish for crude surface (a slab of wood or stone?) upon which the bowl be placed. The tangible weight of the object here appears nearly suspended in white space, which disturbs my sense of balance a little.

I can appreciate the warm diagonal lighting across the image, but would consider the side (on the left) too cold, given the the textural and material properties of the subject.
