I like the idea, and this is a nice shot, but the post and the stuff undr the bush is very distracting. Also, the light on the background is very harsh, while the light in the shadow is nice and soft. Did you think of trying this in direct light, maybe at a different time of day, like sunrise or sunset? That would give everything a nice warm glow.

Your exposure needs work. The tree is too dark (hiding the black bike seat) while the background is too bright (turning details white). Not sure how I'd fix those problems, but they definitely are such.
