Harsh on-camera flash is what ruined this shot for you, I'm afraid. Could have been cool looking if you'd used no flash, a long exposure to get some motion blur, and perhaps lit the skateboarder some other way. Maybe a flashlight illuminating him, or have him hold some lights perhaps.

The lighting seems a bit harsh. It would be good ig this could have been lit with something other than an on camera flash.

A bit too much light fall-off in this one - looks like was lit by a single flash and it's thrown the background into darkness.

Appreciate for an action shot you need a quick shutter so can't use a long exposure to get some ambient, but in that case it may have been better to re-frame so that there wasn't so much featureless darkness in the background.
