The subject being cut off at the top of the frame really hurts this, I'm afraid. Would have gotten a pretty good vote from me otherwise.

I dont know what these are but they look very intersting on camera... kind of like egg yolks in leaves! Its a bit dark.

Your title taught me a new word!

You've chosen interest subjects here, but the lighting just isn't working for you. Try to find a more diffuse light source that's off to the side or behind--on-camera flash is pretty much never going to make your photos look good.
