This type of shot could be much better if you used a tripod and a long exposure with a high aperture setting (f/11 or higher). What that would do is give you more of the image in focus and a more natural look to the image. Flash in this case is very harsh and unnatural looking. Better luck next time. Check the tutorials for more info about this type of shot. |

French toastby GTComment by geinafets: I wish the background would have been either brighter or darker to contrast the tonal values of the subject. I think the greenish-yellow of the plate is a little distracting. Having the plate neutral would have helped bring out the food. The composition is perfect for the subject, and I like the shallow depth of field, but I wish it included the closest berry too. |
