The Free Runnerby kgearyComment by bspurgeon: Regarding your question about impact and my initial comment. Keep in mind, this is one opinion. . . as it stands, it is very appealing. I can see it in a tutorial or a written piece on free running. For a greater human impact, it needs context. . . other participants, or random people, watching. . . I can imagine the varied expressions as they watched. It becomes a street image, or candid, loaded with story, not the least of which is the act of free running in a rigid city environment, etc. That would make it memorable beyond the splendid action. The Free Runnerby kgearyComment by bspurgeon: Wow. My apologies for the keyboard vote leaving a comment. Why a 5? A fine photo, great action and sense of freedom, it just didn't strike me as a memorable photograph due in part to a rather static composition and a one dimensional interpretation. Realtor Environmental Portraitby kgearyComment by kgeary: Originally posted by ScooterMcNutty: this is nice. although i almost wish i could see it with him looking at the camera. also with both of his hands in his pockets, his pants buldge. possibly next time have one hand out or atleast have the thumbs hanging out. (if that makes sense) the PP-ing is nice, colors are excellent. focus and clearity are good too. |
I have one of him looking at the camera. I felt it wasn't as strong. Thanks so much for taking the time to comment. Message edited by author 2011-12-09 23:17:06. |
