For me this is a case of a really great scene taken from too far away. Compositionally, this image is all about the foreground - a vast expanse of gray gravel that takes up almost one half of the entire image. It even takes up more room than the sky, which is far more interesting. We can barely see most of the interesting things that say "country", such as the tractor and the cows. And the horizontal lines of the fence are mostly invisible. Perhaps cropping this harshly, from the left to the first cow, and from the bottom to just below the stone wall shadow would help, but getting closer would have been better :-)

Nice sunset. Perhaps this is actually how you captured the image, but it looks like to me that the red highlights in color balance have been pushed over the top.
