VERY good idea, ashame perspective is a bit off-putting for me. I would have also cropped the bulding on left off which kills a possible spiritual mood. Still very clever.

very clever to spot the parasol shapes but distracts from the challenge itself as they are not the real subject which, to me, is the roof. As for that, the building to the left and the lights and restaurant below take away from the geometry of the roof. how about repositioning your vantage point next time? and the monks will still be there for the right challenge!

I say this of a lot of picture I comment on - I think you could have cropped the right third of this image. It would put more emphasis on the roof of the structure, and still maintain a "rule of thirds" composure (with the roof being in the left third). But nice photo.
