The photo would have been a better shot if it was only one feather, because it probably would have showed more of the weight, giving the photo more contrast in between the feather and the weight.

This is one of the best and I'm near the end. Maybe I would have preferred to see a bit more of the weight but I love the B&W and the single added colour.

Nice composition. It's also good to see color in this image as opposed to simply a white feather.

Good work. The only thing I can suggest is perhaps altering the lighting to lessen the white along the 'spine' of the purple feather and along the edges of the weight.

Funny pun! And a nice idea for this challenge! I like the lighting, it really brings out the texture and detail in the subjects. I think I might have puzzled over the dumbell if it weren't for the title--perhaps a little less feather would help. I bet you could do without that purple one altogether--the line of the quill seems to interrupt the composition. Overall, a good pic. (Pun intended.)
