What the ?????by boomerComment by andywightman: Nicely composed with the focus on the foreground person. Evokes a realistic sense of somethign happenign of screen. |

What the ?????by boomerComment by MightyMouse: This is one of the best pitcures yet! The girls are both looking at the same thing....(that gives you big points) and while they are doing that, the also have different looks. The one in the front is puzzled trying to figure out whether they are really seeing "it" while the other is shock and can't believe her eyes. So all in all I think this is a G-R-E-A-T picture 10!!! |

Silent Sentries After the Wildfiresby boomerComment by boomer: Thanks ScottK and everyone else who commented. I'm still kicking myself because I had entered a different shot (same idea, different composition) and then pulled it for this one. Ah well... 'twas fun anyway! |

Silent Sentries After the Wildfiresby boomerComment by ScottK: I thought this might be yours! Didn't have time to comment during voting, but I like this idea because every other tree picture I looked at, I kept thinking "wind in the branches" - which isn't silent! The branchless stubbs made me think "Yes - silent trees!" :) I think it might have done better if you could have gotten the trunks at the top of the peak more prominantly in the shot. Better luck next time. |

Silent Sentries After the Wildfiresby boomerComment by Kavey: I like the stark shapes of the trees, particularly the bare trunks that are missing branches, but I think that composition is weak. There isn't really an effective focal point and the image doesn't feel that balanced. The scrub in the foreground also hold much less interest for me than those majestic trees behind it. |

Silent Sentries After the Wildfiresby boomerComment by blueswolf58: Really like how you composed pic with mountain peak converging in center frame. Too bad there wasn't a lone tree standing by itself at the top with less distracting trees throughout. Large tree on left seems to take some of the focus away from the peak. Good idea, but your models weren't willing. ;) |
