Sudden Impactby DigitalEventsComment by oldpucker: As someone who shoots his share of baseball, I know how hard it is to get a capture like this. Awesome job.
As a former hitter, I always enjoyed ripping a line drive back at the pitcher (on the next AB of course!) after being on the receiving end of one of these!
Like Patents4u states, a tighter crop here would have definitely helped and possibly moved it up the final list. |

Sudden Impactby DigitalEventsComment by Patents4u: As a former hurler, I get a kick out of this pic - twisted, I know. From the perspective of the pic it's a bit hard to tell, but there appears to be an awful lot of room between the outside edge of the box and the back of the kids feet...so perhaps the pitcher wanted his plate back (though I would never advocate crunching someone's melon to do so). :-)
Game analysis aside, I had this much higher. It is a once in a lifetime, and it is well done, very well done. Guess it just wasn't pretty enough for the voters. I do understand some of the comments about the crop since the crowd does not really add much here, but still thought it would end up much higher. |

Sudden Impactby DigitalEventsComment by Brad: What timing! Shots like this come around but once in a lifetime. Well seen. Detail & clarity are great! ((7)) |

Sudden Impactby DigitalEventsComment by coolhar: looks like you timed this one perfectly, well done; a tighter crop all around might have been a little more emphatic |

Sudden Impactby DigitalEventsComment by Skip: OUCH! boy, what timing. i have a picture of my son that one would think he would like, but it reminds him of something that happened earlier in the day on the day it was taken; the two events are totally unrelated, but when he sees this one picture he gets mad at me for reminding him about the other thing...go figure. hope this isn't one of those moments for you. also hope that you aren't getting overlooked in this huge challenge, and that you are getting good feedback. good luck with this, and all the challenges yet to come! |
