Stark composition, makes it impossible to ignore. Wish there weren;t glare off the jar top, and reflections in the jar. Seems to tilt a bit to the right. Nice deatil in the fish (?)

Comment by Kavey:
Not sure the fish is "cuddly" enough to be best choice of subject to convey the message in the title but an interesting idea. Personally not keen on composition - bottle seems to have been placed off centre for no particular reason other than attempt not to have it centred - doesn't really balance or feel right.

powerful image, it might lean a bit too heavily on the title to fit the challenge. Good light - the spot at the top of the bottle is a distraction but the overall good composition, clarity, focus

What a sensational fish! Black background works well, lighting on the fish is excellent. I find the glare at the top a little distracting, but no worse than that.

Greetings from the Critique Club: This certainly meets the challenge and the image is shot from an more interesting angle than not. The color of the Headstones is mellow and gentled by the light. The sky is kind of washy and it would have been good to use a filter to intensify the tones. The upper right section of the image begins to wash out a bit as well. It is a bit difficult to determine your intent with this image: was it for the serene and time-honored feel or did you mean it to have more intensity? The intensity is just not there for me and yet the marking of the unknown soldier tells me I should have more of a reaction. I do, however, get the sense of peace and tranquility that is marked out by the many tombstnes. Interesting image.

Would have been better if the animal was a common science test critter (white mouse?). Good framing and light.

Nicely composed, the glare on to top of the jar is a little distracting though.

You did well with a difficult lighting situation. Only offering I have is to try and shoot the light through something to diffuse/spread the light out more. This will minimize the hot spot on the glass. Also, having some light on the table doesn't hurt, it keeps the bottle from looking like it is floating. 6 -danny

Comment by KING:
Although the subject isn't very strong (I can't make out what it is supposed to be), you fit the propaganda theme quite well. I think the light is a little too hard (especially the reflections on top of the jar are distracting).

Great composition. The Colonel in the photo looks like he has alot of character. I'm an Army brat and a retired Marine so your photo was special for me.
