Little Angelby CorwynComment by BAMartin: I have read through all of the comments you have received on this photo so far and i have to agree with most of them. This little girl is beyond precious with her gorgeous smile and beautiful dark cursl. Its very unfortunate about the lighting though. Such a simple thing can ruin an otherwise perfect photo. Something as simple as a white card can be used as a reflector, to reflect some light back onto her face. This would all but eliminate the dark shadows and open up her face.
I like the soft focus very much here. Beautiful attempt, and even with the flaws in the lighting, sure to be a favorite photo to her family. |

Orange Butterfly Sideby CorwynComment by ParadigmShift: Beautiful shot - but I agree with Beetle. I think a simpler frame, maybe just a thin line would have worked better. The shot is absolutely amazing, though. Really great color composition, and the DOF is just right. |

IMG_6973Soft.jpgby CorwynComment by Jinjit: My favorite of this series.
I wish her face were a bit more in the light, but other then that I think this is a beautiful and very special portrait! |

Little Angelby CorwynComment by srbrubaker: Beautiful model and expression. It's a novel choice of lighting. I'm afraid that I find the shadows it produces beneath the eyes to be just a bit too strong for my tastes. |

Little Angelby CorwynComment by strangeghost: She sure is. The softness and tones are outstanding, but I think the shadows on the face are a bit too much. I'm not sure what kind of lighting you were using but there's obviously a powerful overhead providing the majority of the illumination. I envision more of a backlit bright, with soft fills coming from the front/side of the little girl to soften the shadows on her face. |

Little Angelby CorwynComment by rlinn3: Nice shot, I gave it a 5 because of the lighting, it casts really dark shadows under the eyes and the line across her forhead. |
