Waiting....by PhotomamaComment by Blackdog: A simply beautiful shot. I think the corner of the bed should have been left out by moving slightly to the left. Perhaps cropping a little tighter. The lighting is superb, well done. |

Waiting....by PhotomamaComment by Bud: Excellent photo. Two small items ( I know, they are sometimes not within our control) - I would have moved the piece of furniture out of the frame and I would have included the entire door frame for continuity. Small things. Excellent photo. 9. |

Waiting....by PhotomamaComment by mhoogendyk: From my viewpoint, this image has lots of higher potential, depending upon how it is printed. Right now it appears to me to have too much bright highlight in the door window. You can't see any detail in the actual curtain except in a couple of places around the edge and at the bottom. If the curtain detail or pattern showed more, and the most extreme bright was toned down to the area where the young girl is peeking around the curtain it might tend to draw the eye more to the main action in the image and cause you to squint less. In other words, less is more. (If only I could do that with my commenting... ) At least that's my opinion. You may have already tried that and discarded it as a possiblity. It IS a nice image. |

Waiting....by PhotomamaComment by dmleman: I like this photograph and I'm struggeling a bit with what I want to say. It does speak to me but I find myself wondering what she looks like so perhaps a bit of her face would caused me to vote higher.
The large area of over exposed window also made me wonder if it could have been handled differently although I find the detail in the little girls clothing well considered.
The bed or piece of furniture in the forground is a bit intrusive but it does hold your eye in the picture.
.
Perhaps other's comments will be more helpful. It is a great entry and I hope it does well |
