Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by Nusbaum: I like the composition, but I think you need to get you get more blacks darker to give the image a little more depth. |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by margem: You have the potential of a really good shot but it is too muddy or flat in tone. I have the habit of going a bit too high contrast when shooting black and white and am always told to bracket your shots. Bracketing is a good habit to get into but I forget to practice it myself. I'd like to see tne tree black and it would make the photo, pop and give it more depth and drama. |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by Konador: Seems washed out, I think you should adjust the brightness/contrast. Also a not so centered composition might look good. |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by LucidLotus: I like the imagery of this photo. The tree doesn't look quite dead, but dying certainly. This to me brings to mind the loneliness of dying and solitude so it fits the challenge well in my opinion. I like the lighting, my main negative is the focus, I'm not sure if it is purposefully soft but that aspect detracts for me, I wish it was sharper focused because the stark lines of the tree and the black & white aspect of the image seems to call for it to me. Other than that its a sound photo. 6 |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by dr rick: There are leaves, so I wouldn't call it "dead", just "dormant". It's shape contrasts well with the sky, but the effect is diluted by the low contrast of this image, which to me doesn't do anything to help the image. |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by dcano: DEFINATELY ALONE AND HANING ON...... The dirt road really helps convey the remoteness and isolation. Good Photo. |

Dead Treeby divineinspirationComment by pcody: Monitor problem? I hate when that happens. Good composition. I'll go ahead and score it as if there wasn't a problem. 7 |
