despite the sharpening, the very upper part of the sky is nice(about 50px from the top down)... the rest of your photograph is completely out of focus.
High Altitude Intersection
I fail to see any intersection in the sky as I also fail to see any intersection on the signs. I assume you were focusing on the signs where is very hard to read with that focus⦠as commented already!⦠Millions of thanks, for the millions of pixels missing - to you for describing what you saw and for the mother nature dear louddog; She MADE that photo... for you to capture beyond your comprehension of photography.
"V" is Viewâ¦
Do you realize the ⦠whatever you assume is the best photography in the world⦠licks and falls to the very right of yours? NO? â
âWe were side by side shooting at the same track from the same distance in the same lighting, shooting the same thing and got practically the same score.
(Note: I know the advantages of having a DSLR and better equipment. This example is only pointing out that you do not need to have a DSLR and fancy equipment to compete here.)â
You must consider yourself ridicules comparing your camera with a 5 times better camera then yours; and for the way you take you pictures⦠that camera, for a beginner would make him a pro! Right! The same camera would not help you!
The Race
Based on the above observations, I cannot consider that you would be ever so close to such an excellent shoot.
LOUD DOG⦠You are so full of it!
The rest is beyond your lousy photography skills.
I may be wrong

dan... Thanks for taking the time to comment on my photo. My photo must have really touched you since it's the only comment you have ever made here, I really appreciate your effort. I checked out your portfolio because if you think I have "lousy photography skills" I wanted to see the source that this blunt statement was coming from. Based on your skills shown thus far, your comments does not offend me.
As for your comments. Please re-read what I wrote in the forum that made you so mad that you had to come hear and trash my photos. Read it slowly and try to understand what I said. I never said the S2 is anywhere near the camera the 20Dis. I said you donât need to have a 20D to compete here. Also, FYI I have a 20D a 300D and several lens. Iâm not an expert but I do know what Iâm talking about.
Your comments on my photos are quite bizarre. Iâm guessing English is not your first language so I wonât give you a hard time about that.
I never said I was a great photographer, I donât pretend to be great or better then anyone else. I take photos and have fun. I donât think any photos fall to the right of mine. People on DPC vote and sometimes several photos do fall to the right of mine. Sometimes people comment that they like my photos. If you disagree with them, please donât take it out on me. I have no control where my photos rank and what comments people put on them.
I donât take credit for what mother nature does, I just like to capture it. If you read my profile I think thatâs pretty clear. Again, re-read it slowly and try to understand. I noticed though that your âbeautyâ photo is a blatant take on a creation of mother nature without even using a creative composition. I guess itâs only okay for you to take photos of stuff mother nature creates? Hmm, that kind of makes you a hypocrite.
And⦠I assure that I was at that motocross race and I did take that photo with my S2. Actually I took a couple hundred shots that came out just as good and had a hard time chosing this one. If you have reason to doubt that I took it you should contact SC and request my image get DQâd.
Good luck on future challenges, but if you keep up the attitude that you seem to have, this community will not like you very much.
P.S. I quoted you here so if you ever grow up and realize this was a bad idea you can not delete the comment.
