Main subject is too centered in this image. Lighting is a bit harsh especially for a close-up/macro. The leaf in the upper right is distracting because it's large and covers up part of the flower which, seems to me, is the main subject of this image.

If you're going to do a flower shot, it needs a way to stand out, since it's a cliche shot. With the shadows, the leaf obstucting part of the flower, and the lack of excelent sharpness on this shot, it ends up looking very generic among the many other flower shots. The first step to making this better I think would be to work on better lighting. Then I'd try to mix it up by trying a more unique angle, framing, or else get in really close. Good luck.
