tunnel of leavesby HoghemaruComment by sidpixel: Hello from the critique club
An interesting image that meets the challenge
I can see why this appealed to you, Fabio it certainly fills the challenge brief of foliage. The foliage is well lit and the scene naturally draws you into the tunnel of foliage. The grass is somewhat saturated and would benefit from easing back a bit to stop it dominating the image in favour of the foliage. A good attempt, thanks for sharing it with us |

everyday's loveby HoghemaruComment by sidpixel: Hello from the critique club
An appealing image that meets the challenge
A good original attempt but there are ways in which it could have been improved. The sharply focussed part of the image is his hairy arm, it would have been a lot better to have carried the tray beneath it so that the focus could clearly have been placed upon the flowers. Significantly more DOF so that we could make out a pleasurable smile on here face would have helped enormously, so a shift in focus position and perhaps f4 would have made all the difference. Whilst the DOF is just too shallow I do like the creative thinking behind it, well done Fabio |

everyday's loveby HoghemaruComment by Waitingsilence: This should have been top 3.
It shows "married" without showing "marriage" in the making, it's a picture of an everyday's love story, it's beautifully composed and post-processed. Can't believe it didn't make the top 5.
Absolute 10 for me.
Congrats Fabio, this is a picture I would have shot myself. Message edited by author 2016-10-19 03:13:24. |

"as idle as a paper ship upon a purple ocean"by HoghemaruComment by sidpixel: Hello from the critique club
An interesting image that meets the challenge well
I like your creative approach here, it shows originality. Unlike your commenter I think your ship is in focus in the right places but perhaps the DOF is just a tad on the shallow side, having said that the sail is nicely sharp against the soft focus background so it helps define the boat more effectively. I was thinking perhaps the exposure could be a 1/3 stop less to reduce the brightness of the highlights but this would affect your boat which is nice and bright, I would say you’ve got it right. Thanks for such an original entry Fabio, keep up the good work. |

Commenting only
This is interesting I am not sure I remember how to do those oragami boats.
The sheet details is in focus but the boat is not and I would expect to see the boat be more in focus than the background to it. I love the creativity that this image brings and there is so much potential to it. |

she is goneby HoghemaruComment by sidpixel: Hello from the critique club
An interesting image that meets the challenge
The emotion in your landscape comes mostly from the very clever use of title to convey a feeling that probably didn’t even exist but now does, well done for a very effective use of a title. As for the image itself the intense blue saturation really hurts my eyes and destroys any appeal for the landscape. I do like the composition and the placing of the silhouetted man and his interaction with the landscape. Can I suggest you try easing back on the blue saturation for a more natural look I think it would enhance what is potentially a good image.
Thanks for your entry Fabio. |

she is goneby HoghemaruComment by Teafran: I struggled with this image - I have the concept just fine - sense of loss, impending doom if you will, darkness and all the associated sense of foreboding - got it. There's nothing wrong technically, I just am not overwhelmed by a positive response to the image. |
