This photographer definitely captured a serendipidous moment and did it well. I would have liked to have seen more contrast between the trees and the sky but I realize the photographer was intent on capturing the jet trail in the sky. They certainly could go back and tweak this in Photoshop after the contest. This could be a nice candidate for some interesting filters.

Good capture of the sky and I like the "jet-line" thou for many I think that´s an every day event to see such things (but of course you seem to be seeing it thrue gap in hevily clouded sky). Would have given it more croping from below to cut out the bushes in the foreground.
