Here's what I think about silhouettes: If the subject needs front lighting to help you understand what it is, then it is not a strong candidate for silhouette lighting.

Not the type of person that I would expect to see in a soft focus challenge. IMO he doesnt suit the blurry treatment.

Running this through neat image would have definately reduced the noise and helped this photo, but good framing and a unique picture from the challenge.
