Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by lecook: very nice, but i can't help wondering what the rider looking at...is she preparing for a conformation class or a jumping class? guess there's not much you could do to show prep for a conformation class except to show her watching an ongoing one perhaps....if it's a jumping class, showing the hurdles or another horse/rider (in the background of course) taking them would help me, the viewer, get a better feel for what she is mentally preparing for |

Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by jmsetzler: Nice shot! I think the light on the rider's shirt is a little harsh.. I don't know if you have the capability or not, but a polarizing filter helps in this situation... Also using a smaller aperture setting can help out as well... good job! |

Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by Silly Cat: it probably would be better to take the photo in straigt to see the entire horse because the background seem distracting. |

Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by justine: This shot is well done. Good composition, good shot. Maybe a tad too dark on the horse and a bit hot on the shirt. Still this is very good work. Congrats. |

Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by KarenB: Nice photo. I may have cropped in on the subject closer since you don't need the background to tell the story here, but it's still a pleasing shot. |

Mental Preparationby daverx7Comment by mtngoat: I wish you'd given the horse more head room (less vacant space on the left - more on the right). But I don't know what you cut out. I like the way both of their heads are facing the same direction as if they are both preparing. |

Hide and seekby daverx7Comment by svaleda: I gave you one of my highest scores! I'm disappointed you didn't score higher overall. What a great picture! You really captured children playing this game! I love how the child at the bottom is in that dynamic pose. Gorgeous tree. Personally, I like that the background is washed-out; otherwise it would detract from the foreground action. Well done. |
