A Day In The Lifeby streetpigeonComment by Melethia: Oh my goodness. Just now seeing this. It kinda brought tears to my eyes. So much has been lost, and yet there's still music. Thank you. |

anklesby streetpigeonComment by glad2badad: Ok. You've sent me on a 10 minute journey into the Google land of "ankles of the tree". I assumed that the use of the word "Ankle" in your title was some reference to another nickname for this part of the tree that was left behind. And, BTW, I've seen many leftover stumps like this on our own property, so it was a familiar site, but that phrase! Killing me.
So, the most interesting find in the Google search "ankles of the tree" produced a punk rock band 'Snapped Ankles'.

As for the fit of this to the challenge theme, it fits pretty well IMO. The image also fits well for your style of photography. I noticed that your last 10 portfolio images are very strong on lines and patterns. Same hold true with some of your recent challenge entries, although not quite as strong a presence.
This was a fun exercise. I'm diving into some portfolios as a payback for comments received recently to an image I posted in the forums.
Have a great day! |

A Day In The Lifeby streetpigeonComment by mariuca: We were in the same place probably at different times since my shot was in an almost transparent atmosphere, clean and clear. Same man playing his Brazilian tune |

Big Dayby streetpigeonComment by epescala: The idea of this is so great, but the execution could be much better. I would suggest setting up the shot and trying it again!! |
