yellowby gazdiComment by Elaine: Nature is not perfect, and I don't think you need to find a "perfect" flower to have a great shot. I really like this composition. |

about a horrible Wednesdayby gazdiComment by Jutilda: I've come back to this several times. I really like the perspective and the diagonal line of the grasses blowing in the wind. I like the duotone coloration with that hint of blue. |

about a horrible Wednesdayby gazdiComment by Falc: I guess I should comment on this as its the sort of image many people will struggle to say anything about.
It conveys a gloominess, a dark mood, the title backs this up well. However, as a technical image it starts to struggle after this. There is not much to keep the interest of a viewer, nothing to make me wonder why you want to convey this gloominess. Its a 'OK lets move on' sort of image.
It is sharp enough and composed reasoably well. I just question whether its a 'competition' image. |

Annaby gazdiComment by jdannels: I almost picked this one for the pick your fav photo thread! I really liked the depth of field in this and the thin crop. I may have cropped some of the top of the image off to move the eye farther away from the center. Also I thought it could be alittle sharper so I hope you don't mind but I took it into photoshop and applied this new technique for sharpening I have been using called the Luko USM technique. Here is the results on your photo. IMO it helps make the eye pop. I really like this photo. |
