Things I like: Wonderful colors, nice repeating lines (arcs), diagonal composition, title. Problems: I just want to reach in there and yank out those pine needles! They do nothing for me except get my ire up. The black border is a bit strong. Overall - a very strong entry.

Nice abstraction. I like the inclusion of the pine needles but the lines they create keep dragging me out of the photo. Intense colors! (You do lose the rusty feel by saturating so much, though.) Still, makes an interesting image overall.

This photo doesn't say anything to me about serendipity, or anything else for that matter. It just looks like a snapshot of a car at a nature trail. The car is actually a distracting detail in what might have been a potentially nice landscape shot. Your lights and darks lack detail and the mid-tones aren't much better. I'm really at a loss to see what the photographer was going for with this shot.
