last photo of the night was taken at 6.30 at Mrs Macquaries chair
this one was at 6pm from in front of the opera house just b4 I picked up my car
so I was home early at about 7.30

That certainly is a bizarre cylinder in the middle of the building. Wonder whatever possessed the designer to stick it there. ;>)
Otherwise, it might be fun to see this photographed on a day when the clouds were reflected more fully in the glass. You have a hint of it here; it could be interesting when developed further.

Looks like some keystoning happened here..but it can be straightened in photoshop...I like the building, but there appears to be too much light on left obscuring details.
