There were a lot of these, and it appears to be a difficult subject to capture. I think some context would have improved this for me - ie some background or foreground object to give some perspective.

Very pretty colors and shapes. I find the blue in the upper left to be distracting though. The streak takes my eye out of the image.

Great shot, but just a little predictive of a subject.

pretty. distracting border. Unfortunately will suffer from the shear number of fireworks in this mammoth challenge.

Comment by PirateJabez:
As per the pressure/strength debate, in this case the two are inseperable. It's not like air or liquid pressure building in some container, but as the description states this machine is designed to mold chunks of steel (they get white hot) into usable forms, and the gauge shows the amount of pressure exerted on the steel to do so. If that's not strength, I don't know what is! I do see the where this issue would come up out of context during voting, however.
Also, I pretty much just walked in to the warehouse and took a bunch of shots; I had no control of the lighting aside from my built-in flash, which I wisely chose not to use. I do like the harshness effect of the shadow, but do also realize how some clarity is lost.

I really like this shot and the title. The colors are awesome, the composition is good ( I had to test with my own hands to find out that they are crossed). One of the few in the challange which do both touch and feel.
