Another lovely photo, great use of negative space and the grin as mentioned kicks it up just that much more. The soft-ish focus adds just that much more IMHO, well done!

I think it's a nice portrait. I would have probably voted it a 6. I like the composition and the subtle balance between the dark colors, but I am not too fond of the eye being cut off by the hat and the shadow under the chin. Nevertheless, I think this puic is certainly worth entering.

I agree the eyes could be a bit sharper. But besides that this is an awesome photo. Great lighting, composition and color. You should be very proud of this photo and should have entered it. There are some days I get gun shy about entering for fear of getting a low score but then I do it anyway because I love my photos and I want to show them off. Yes I do get low scores because my photo doesn't appeal to the masses, and yes it really hurts but when it is all said and done I still like my photo. I have learned alot from this site. Good luck in getting over this phobia.

I don't do people pics myself, something I should really learn, so probably not the best person to offer critique! Personally I really like this shot, the model (you?) has a great look which draws me into the photo, the bright eyes are great and I personally really like the lighting, the angle of her head and the hat ... all in all I think a great shot. The only slight criticism I can offer is maybe the eyes could be just a teeny tiny bit sharper

I love the composition of this shot. The sloping horizon, lighting variations in the clouds, the contrast and shadow in the foreground. Very nice image!
