very nice concept, but I find to major things wrong with this picture. First of all there is a killer red cast that doesn't look like it was suppose to be there and it just makes the whites in the picture look very dirt. Two the instrament doesn't fit the wound on the wrist, it doesn't even appear to be open on the floor. I am not going to vote you down on that don't worry but just some insite. I like the concept, all you needed to do was fix that color cast and mabey change the males shoes, they are a little distracting and you could have been in the top 10 easy. (by the way I'm giving you a seven, and I'm sorry I can't spell anything)

Pretty cool shot, interesting composition to look at. The light from underneath adds an interesting glow. I might have done a tighter crop on the model, just a tad right of the shadow on here neck. A tighter crop would force the viewer back towards the rose. By having negative space between the two subjects the observer scans back and forth between the rose and the model. At least for me the brightness of the models shirt keeps drawing me in that directing taking away from the story that you are telling in the shot. I think eliminating (cropping) a good portion of that lit area would create a better balance and create less competition for the rose.
