Rose on Woodby stormyComment by jbsmithana: I think this shot could have been improved with a little less light to improve exposure and DOF and a bit sharper focus. Good attempt anyway and keep shooting. |

Rose on Woodby stormyComment by Artan: I tend to find that placing the main subject in the centre of a picture makes it feel isolated and satic.
The stalk on the diagonal sould add some strength to the composition, however this is slightly lost in the background as it has the same colour tones. |

Rose on Woodby stormyComment by jpochard: This is a lovely b/w shot. The focus, to me, seems just a bit on the softer side and I think I would prefer it to be sharper. I probably would have played around a bit more with the composition, but I like this as well. It looks to me like you've lost a bit of the detail in the upper petals, and the flower doesn't really "jump" out at me as the viewer. All that being said, I still like the shot very much. Hope this is helpful. |

Rose on Woodby stormyComment by Mr_Pants: I really like the way that the grain of the wood disappears into blackness as one's eye moves up the frame. It could be a little sharper as far as I'm concerned. |
