Alone and free to stand tallby keriboiComment by Skip: Maybe from a different angle with different lighting, this picture might do more. Cropped the way it is, it just doesn't do much for me. It does seem to have potential as a subject. |

Alone and free to stand tallby keriboiComment by melismatica: This isn't a particularly inspirational tree. It looks rather scrubby, especially in comparison to the trees in the background. This isn't a great composition. It would be more effective if somehow the tree was actually isolated as the only one object in the shot. |

Warm no matter how cold it is outsideby keriboiComment by goodhart: Straighten out the horizon of the photo, and get a bit more light on the glass (CHATELLE is a little hard to read), and you might have a contending photo for this challenge. I like the effect you've produce with warm versus cold. |

Warm no matter how cold it is outsideby keriboiComment by tyrkinn: A bit of a white balance problem here, the backlight (natural light) is really blue and the frontlight is yellowish, I think this whitebalance contrast makes this shot look like a snapshot. I would rather go with all natural light or all tungsten light and set the white balance setting right on your camera if possible. The image does not show how cold it is out side either. Would love a sip of that though.... |
