Backyard Squadby chipsterComment by albc28: This would be an even better photo if you would have increased your depth of field to capture everything in focus. It sort of blurry. |

Dragon Rider'sby chipsterComment by macrothing: 2 - Strong perspective, but cannot decipher enough of what the subject is, despite your title. The dominant oof areas within the frame/composition are also too distracting. Focus seems best right up the top of the 'something', but there is very little of that visible. |

Dragon Rider'sby chipsterComment by pennylane: i think the blur at the bottom brings down the quality of the shot a bit, otherwise it would have been really cool |

Turmoilby chipsterComment by chipster: Thanks so much for voting on this one! I was balancing outside on the lawn & a stubborn ant kept wondering into the frame -- this is one shot he didn't get into.
The only editing was a crop to get rid of the base of the glass -- I'm not yet technical enough to do fancy stuff. :o) |

Turmoilby chipsterComment by adrian45: Very inventive use of spotlight, and refractive scatter on background. I like red, so I have a positive reaction immediately. I like also the twinkles on the twisted stem, (caused by refraction within the filter), and there is a rainbowing effect at the edge of the spot caused by refraction from the lens used to focus the white light onto the red background. All well controlled and lit! Nicely photographed, and well done!
Best of luck with the shot! |

Hmmph!by chipsterComment by chipster: Thank you voting on this one! I was late entering this challenge and took the pic at night indoors -- unfortunately I brightened it too much. My previous macros of her nose are clearer but...timing is everything! |
