Day Lightby biggood53Comment by metoecus: I like the complementary textures of the sky and sea, but this image suffers from the lack of a focal point. A silhouette of a rock or a boat just below the horizon would have given me a welcome place for my eyes to alight while it appreciates the scene. |

Day Lightby biggood53Comment by MPRPRO: No perspective as to where I am looking at this from. There is something in the lower right but I can't tell wht it is so it all just gels into a grey mess. Don't take this personally and if you have an explnation for it and it works for you great. Just not getting me excited. Sorry. |

Day Lightby biggood53Comment by LeeD: I love this shot.... very awe inspiring. I would like to see the same shot with either more of the splash in the bottom right, or less of the splash.... As it stands, it detracts from the image IMHO. The lighting is great! Normally I'm a stickler for the details (title doesn't include &), but in this case I think I'll make an exception because the image is wonderful. |

1890by biggood53Comment by macrothing: 5 - Met the Challenge (fairly well, see below), for me a shot of this put into a time capsule with the year, depicts the era fairly well for future generations. Criticism; whilst I can certainly pick out some classic pieces here (the high chair especially), there are a few pieces which I question the 'authenticity' re the 'era'. The 'patterned newspaper'(?) on the shelves, confuses me and I cannot discern what it is, or for - perhaps it is an 'era specific' thing - who knows. Just a few minor details such as the leg coasters, some of the 'items', detract in my opinion. Also, there are too many things here, and the 'arrangement' could have been better in my opinion. As for a b/w or sepia to enhance the 'feel' for the era, maybe, not sure on that. For me, just a different arrangement/composition, and angle, would have made this a better photograph in my opinion. |

1890by biggood53Comment by eaglebeck: This photo really tells a story from the table setting to the worn out chair to the table setting in dishes of water, and so much more. I hope it ribbons because it really meets the challenge 10 |
