This is a really good composition but it's just too grainy and has too high of JPEG compression. I'm not sure if its your camera or if maybe you are using a software program that is resizing things funny. I'd try to shoot at the highest resolution possible, increase colour saturation wherever possible, and resize so that you don't lose a lot of image details.

IMO you should have cropped the right edge off. There also appears to be a lot of digital noise in the image. Maybe some post-processing sharpening would have helped.
