Any real sense of texture seems lost here, quite possibly because of your sharpening, which has also produced those halos around the legs and antennae. I find tthe cropping alos to be a bit heavy-handed - more consideration might have been lavished on just what parts of the flowers you were going tto include/exclude - heree you seem to have concentrated entirely on the butterfly.

Very nice macro. Cropped a litte tight and centered for my tastes. I wish that the flowers offered a different range of color instread of blending into the butterfly so that he would remain more the spotlight of interest (I know you have no control over nature! lol). I think the focus needs to be razor sharp to really stand out as a macro in a challenge.
