Great idea. The image is a little too cluttered for me; it takes away from your main subject. The old toaster, some toast and some crumbs would have sufficed. I like the monochromatic orangish-hinting-at-sepia but a tad more edgy hue. I like the origin of your light source. Since it comes from the left, it evokes the feeling of morning for me, which goes well with your image.

Challenge link: medium/strong - but this feels like Times Past more than the sensation of time actually passing.

Image critique: competent, composition OK, but the arrangement feels a bit too staged for me.

A different take on this challenge but maybe the shot would have been beter in a memories challenge instead of time passing. Perhaps if the layout wasn't so big but zoomed out and spread out over more of a surface
