Balancing in the Darknessby whatdewucComment by gloda: I like the non-centered composition here. Did you want some details of the dark parts to remain visible? I can see a sign that reads 105 and some stuff hanging from the ceiling. You could have gotten rid of those with Levels. 7. |

Bambooby whatdewucComment by les0910: The angle of the bamboo fence really draws your eye into to photo, making it an effective frame. The lighting and DOF is very nice as this has an almost 3D look to it. I might like to see the color of the bird a bit more saturated, just to make him stand out a bit more, but I'm not sure. |

Bambooby whatdewucComment by emorgan49: not sure this frame works - it is so heavy compared to the bird plus it is not in focus. what if you increased the saturation on the bird so that he stands out more? he is too similar in color to the bamboo. |

Maxby whatdewucComment by Neuferland: You were so robbed on so many levels. Max deserves nothing less than top 10! But still, now he is number one on your profile page, a spot well earned! ;) |

Maxby whatdewucComment by Imagineer: Good pose and light. Background is not great but the posture makes up for it largely.
Separate score for cat's tactile 'fuzzy-felt' mouth/nose junction (specially evolved to accommodate a gently moving human fingertip):
