Often when I see a sunset and it looks so good that I want to photo it, the result just doesn't do it justice. I can't seem to get the atmosphere of the sunset the way I had seen it in real life. I think that you have experienced the same situation here, the actual sunset had a lot more impact than the image you captured of it.

Next time you might want to take full advantage of the 640 pixel limit. You'll find that the people here tend to vote lower on small images.
