Sailboatby pablotolaComment by brunas: i like the feel of this image. the sky is very menacing and vast, the boat seems vulnerable and desolate. the background buildings are incogrious and out of place. well done. |

Sailboatby pablotolaComment by SandyP: Great picture! Great way to use natural backlighting to create this photo. One of the best so far in the challenge! |

Triptychby pablotolaComment by mhoogendyk: This kept grabbing me and I couldn't figure out why. After I studied it for awhile, I suddenly realized that the subject matter behind the frame becomes almost secondary in nature, except for the perspective lines set up by the bricks, rails and sidewalks. With them tied into it, the subject matter is the overpowering shape and colors of the frame itself. The clarity (focus) and contrasting black above the arches with the red wood frames themselves combine to draw you into what is behind them - even though what is behind them is not all that interesting without them. Nicely done. |

Triptychby pablotolaComment by dwterry: Beautiful! I love it! Each frame has a different image and quality to it and they all add up to one beautiful whole. Good luck in the challenge! |

Triptychby pablotolaComment by mcrochip: I see the rule of thirds is a major influence on this photograph, and it works here. |
