welcome to the world of 'doesnt meet the challenge.' i think your image is gorgeous. as some others pointed out about focus, it could stand to be sharpened a little. all the same, you have been hammered for not having a truly backlit image. well, don't let it get you down. just pick up your camera and go shoot something!

Wonderful contrast between the desolate landscape and the sky however it appears to be front lit, not back lit. (Shadow is pointing towards the horizon)

I would like this better with most of the ground cropped out, giving a contrast of bare, coarse, bright tree against the dark soft sky.
