A Classic Reflectionby strickerblue21Comment by Presidente: **critque club**
your main subject appears to be the yellow car in reflection and is nicely complimented by the red of the door. unfortunately this is not what appears to grab my attention at first. A great test for doing so is by flipping the image upside down and closing your eyes, you then open them to see whats the first thing that comes to your attention. When i did this the first thing i saw was the bright horizontal line running down the door panel. what i suggest you do to make this image stand out more is crop it in a little closer. one reason for doing so is that the trees are also very distracting and bring in unwanted texture that don't really help the picture out at all. another big distractor is the people, this shot would be 100x better if the chairs and people walking were not in the picture at all.
perhaps using a black car would have given the perfect reflection since in my expereince with cars nothing gives a perfect mirror look like a black car :)
over all the concept was nice and I love the use of the car being used to show the reflection but because of so many distractions it prevents it from shining like a star :) Message edited by author 2005-10-31 23:52:16. |
